Nursing Homes are typically one of the large employers in rural communities, particularly in rural communities without a hospital. @NC_RHW found that on average a 100 bed nursing home with SNF created 140 total jobs and $6.7M in total payroll in rural communities. #ruralhealth
Research conducted by @NC_RHW, found that a rural primary care physician practicing in a community, with a local hospital creates an estimated 26.3 local jobs and nearly $1.4 million in income (wages, salaries, and benefits) form the clinic and the hospital. #rural
